Expect Delays: Hutch Double-Lane Closures Scheduled Through End Of Week

There will be double lane closures on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester for several days as contractors perform maintenance work in the area.

The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert warning that the parkway will see double lane closures southbound between exit 23 (Mamaroneck Road) and exit 19 (Wilmot Road) in Scarsdale and New Rochelle.

The closures are scheduled daily through Friday, Oct. 4. During the project, traffic will be diverted to the right shoulder on the parkway.

NYSDOT noted that “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
